Two of the biggest events on the motoring calendar, the Tokyo Motor Show and the Los Angeles Motor Show, open their doors to the press and public later this month.

Unfortunately, they both start on the same day -- 22 November -- which sort of scuppers your chances of going to both, unless of course you're prepared to undergo the hassle, not to mention the expense, of three long-haul flights.

Luckily, we here at CarSite feel your pain and have prepared a handy guide to all of the exciting, and not-so-exciting, new models you can expect to see at BOTH the LA and Tokyo motor shows. Who says we aren't good to you lot?

So, to have a gander at the cars which will be on display at the Tokyo Motor Show, scroll down. Alternatively, visit our guide to this year's LA Motor Show.

Plus, remember to check back to this page as we'll be updating it as and when more information becomes available.

Daihatsu Copen concept

Daihatsu

Daihatsu will be unveiling a concept version of its new Copen Roadster. Two models will be on display, a conventional roadster called the RMZ and a rugged off-road inspired model called the XMZ. Both are powered by a 660cc three-cylinder petrol engine.

Honda S660 concept

Honda

Like Daihatsu, Honda will be unveiling its own kei car roadster. The Honda S660 Concept is the spiritual successor the Honda Beat of the 1990s. Like the Daihatsu it will get a 660cc three-cylinder engine. Also on the Honda stand in Tokyo will be the new Honda Urban SUV, the new NSX and the UNI-CUB β, a new and improved version of Honda's innovative personal mobility solution.

Lexus RC Coupe

Lexus

Lexus will be using the Tokyo show to reveal a new 2.0-litre version of the LF-NX which made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. A new two-door coupe called the RC Coupe (above) will also be on show which Lexus claims is "designed to raise the brand's profile with a wider audience and customers who are new to Lexus." Engines include a 3.5-litre V6 petrol and a 2.5-litre petrol hybrid.

Mazda3 CNG

Mazda

A new version of the Mazda3 which is powered by CNG (compressed natural gas) is due to make its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. Mazda claims that only minor modifications are needed to enable the 3 to run on compressed gas. Although Mazda has not commented on whether the CNG concept will make it into production, Mazda claims that the car offers a "hint at the direction of future models."

MINI Hatch 2014

MINI

The new 2014 MINI Hatch will be making simultaneous motor show debuts at both the LA and Tokyo Motor Shows. Based on an all-new platform, the new MINI will be offered with a choice of three- and four-cylinder petrol engines and a diesel. It will also be both bigger and lighter than the outgoing model.

Mitsubishi concepts

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi will be revealing a trio of brand new concept cars in Tokyo. The GC-PHEV is an SUV concept, the XR-PHEV a compact SUV concept and the AR a compact MPV. Both the PHEV concepts utilise hybrid drivetrains while the AR gets a small turbocharged petrol engine.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S

Porsche

A facelifted version of the Porsche Panamera Turbo S is set to go on show in Japan. The new car gets the same range of visual tweaks as the rest of the Panamera range, as well as an extra 20bhp and 36lb-ft from its 4.2-litre V8.
