An image which is believed to show the replacement for the Lamborghini Gallardo has appeared online.
Lamborghini builds final Gallardo
The new Lamborghini Huracan is set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March, replacing the ageing Gallardo as the baby in the Lamborghini line-up. Although unverified by Lamborghini, the image you see above, which was posted on automotive blog site Autofilo, appears to be our first glimpse of the new car.
Unfortunately, Lamborghini is being deliberately secretive about the new car and so very little information is known. We don't even know whether it will actually be called the Huracan -- Cabrera and Demios have also been touted as potential names.
It seems likely that the Huracan will be powered by an updated version of the naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 from the Gallardo, tuned to produce around 600bhp and around 400lb-ft of torque.
To hear a snippet of the Huracan's engine bursting into life, go to www.hexagonproject.com, where Lamborghini has released a series of wantonly ambiguous 'teasers' ahead of the new car's launch.
The Geneva Motor Show runs from 6-16 March 2014.
