Kia has promised that its new flagship SUV, the Sorento, will receive a raft of quality improvements when it’s launched next year.

The new car will be the third incarnation of the Sorento and will feature a modern, wrap-around dashboard, high quality materials and a range of advanced technologies. These, Kia claims, will enhance the ownership experience of the company’s SUV.

Kia has released a teaser sketch of the new car’s interior, which was designed by the brand’s design team in Frankfurt. The company claims that Swiss watches were a key influence during the design of the Sorento’s interior.

The cabin will feature a higher proportion of soft-touch materials, leather and stitching, along with Kia’s HMI (human-machine interface). The centre of the cabin is dominated by a large infotainment screen, which has been designed specifically to emphasise the size and width of the cabin.

The new Sorento will be revealed in Korea later this month, before making its European debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.
