Bugatti has revealed the latest model its Legends series of special edition Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse models designed to commemorate individuals who have shaped the company's history.
Following on from the Jean-Pierre Wimille and Jean Bugatti models revealed earlier this year, the third model in the series commemorates Meo Costantini, a close friend of Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti who was head of Bugatti's racing team for eight years.
The Meo Costantini edition's design pays tribute to the Type 35 Bugatti in which the racing driver won two Targa Florio. The car is finished in a new paint colour, "Bugatti Dark Blue Sport," which has been specially developed for the vehicle, and also features a silhouette of the Targa Florio racecourse to commemorate Costantini's success there.
On the inside, the Meo Costantini edition gets bespoke leather upholstery with contrasting light blue stitching. The headrests are embroidered with Costantini's signature and the doors have been laser-engraved with racing scenes and vintage car motifs.
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Meo Costantini edition will be unveiled at the Dubai Motor Show which begins today. Just three examples will be built, each carrying a price tag of 2.09million euros (£1.77million).
