CarSite Verdict:  3.5/5
This latest 207 SW Active looks great and is reasonably priced too. This medium-sized family car comes with 4 speed manual gear box and is extremely light on steering, providing drivers with immense pleasure while driving around the town. With standard safety systems and equipment, this car is a good choice for long term ownership.

PROS:  This Peugeot is a decent looking car and comes with air conditioning, Bluetooth and roof bars, making it much more equipped than other models. It delivers great performance and is blessed with smart interiors.

CONS:  With an automatic gear box you have to compromise on the part of economy and emissions.

Behind the Wheel

This estate body styled car comes with many features to improve comfort such as supportive seats and adjustable steering as per the reach and the height. With firm gearshift, the 1.6 litre 122 bhp engine offers an even spread of power throughout the rev range making this 207 a perfect choice for those drivers who wants a smooth and flexible driving experience around the town. Also, its steering is light at low speed but firms up at faster speeds to provide a more enjoyable driving experience.

One will encounter little engine noise although there is buffeting around the windows because of the wind. All in all, its overall performance is quite good with a top speed of 122 mph and acceleration which travels from 0-62 mph in 12.8 seconds.

Looks & Equipment

The Peugeot 207 CC is a car which is delight to watch and a pleasure to drive. It features electric windows, alloy wheels, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, CD player and MP3 connectivity, digital display and steering wheel mounted controls.

This medium sized family car with five doors is gifted with good looks and is a charmer with its roof up, which makes it looks very sporty. The interiors have a soft look and the plastic sometimes feel pretty hard to touch but overall, it gives an impression of high quality build and strong structure.

The dashboard is classy with a well labelled array of controls and simple dials whilst the car's panoramic sunroof gives the cabin a light and airy feel.

Practicality, Safety & Reliability

There is more than enough space for the driver with an addition of a drivers’ clutch footrest and plenty of space for the front seat passengers. There is also plenty of legroom and boot space available as compared to other versions as the back seat is mounted further back and higher up. There are front/rear armrests within the door panels and there is pretty good space for luggage and other small storage.

This model comes with standard security systems like five airbags, internally operated central locking system, automatic door locking, deadlocks, seatbelt warning lamps and anti lock breaks. There is also a front fog light and if you brake hard in an emergency, the hazards lights will automatically light up to warn others. It also comes with follow me home headlights.

Such safety and security assurance is the one factor which adds to the image of this all new Peugeot Active.

Value for Money

Priced at £15,595 this model is a little expensive when considering running costs. Insurance premiums fall under bracket 15 and road tax comes under tax band G due to carbon emissions of 155 g/km. This is in addition to a combined fuel economy of 42.2 mpg which is far from class leading. The model does however come with a good level of equipment and delivers decent performance.
