Peugeot 207 Overview

The Peugeot 207 delivers impressive handling, with light steering and decent suspension. Ride quality is good on the whole, although bumps and road imperfections aren’t always absorbed too well. Wind and road noise starts to get louder at motorway speeds but the engines are quiet and the 207 is generally very well refined.

The 207 has a driver’s seat which is adjustable with good visibility. The cabin is spacious and practical with good headroom throughout and plenty of legroom in the front. Legroom is a little tight in the rear of the car, however, and the boot is not as large as that of rivals.

The 207 comes with an average level of equipment. Entry level cars feature remote central locking and electric front windows. However, upgraded models boast Bluetooth, air conditioning and alloy wheels.

Background

The Peugeot 207 has been in production since 2006. It was built as a successor to the Peugeot 206.

The model is produced as a hatchback, convertible and estate.

A Peugeot 207 Epure concept car was unveiled in 2006, and the 207 RCup and 207 Super 2000 were built as rally cars.

The Peugeot 207 was given a facelift in 2009, sporting a revised exterior and an upgraded engine.

Summary

The Peugeot 207 is a versatile model which offers reliability and practicality. The car delivers excellent handling and, although not a class leader, is certainly a capable supermini.
