The Volvo XC60 has been named UK Car of the Year for 2018.

The new comes a month after it received the Best Medium Crossover award from the same panel of 27 leading UK motoring journalists.

UK Car of the Year Awards’ managing director Jon Challen said, "The XC60 being crowned UK Car of the Year 2018 is very well deserved, at a time when crossovers are becoming increasingly popular”.

The XC60 offers such features as an intuitive nine-inch touch screen control system fitted as standard, using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to access key functions such as calls, messages and music.  Volvo's semi-autonomous Pilot Assist system is available across the XC60 range, assisting the driver with braking, steering and accelerating, while keeping the car a safe distance from the vehicle in front.  Other safety systems include Steer Assist and Oncoming Lane Mitigation.
