The Vauxhall Adam Rocks, a rugged convertible version of the city car, will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month ahead of its launch later this year.

Following on from the concept of the same name which was revealed at last year's Geneva Motor Show, the Adam Rocks features tougher styling than the standard car and sits 15mm higher than other Adam models.

Vauxhall has also modified the car's dampers, springs, rear suspension and steering and given buyers the choice of 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels. Black body cladding is also included as standard, along with an integrated rear spoiler, LED daytime-running lights, silver skid plates and chrome exhaust pipes.

On top of this, the Adam Rocks comes with an electric folding canvas roof which is operated by a button in the headliner and which folds into the C-pillars in just five seconds. Vauxhall claims the roof has no negative impact on the car's body stiffness or boot space.

Two trim levels specific to the Adam Rocks will be on offer, the first of which features peanut-coloured seats and door panels and the second of which features dark brown seats with blue stitching.

Three engines will be on offer: a 1.2-litre petrol with 69bhp, a 1.4 with either 86 or 99bhp and the new 1.0-litre three-cylinder Ecotec unit, which will come in both 89bhp and 113bhp outputs.

Prices will be announced when the Adam Rocks goes on sale in the summer.
