McLaren has revealed a new teaser image of its latest supercar, dubbed the 650S, which will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

It's rumoured that the new 650S will be a faster, heavily revised version of the 12C and is designed to fit into the range between the 12C and the P1 hypercar.

The 650 name is thought to be a reference to the car's 650ps (641bhp) power output from the car's revised twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine. The standard 12C produces just 616bhp so we'd expect some slight improvements over the standard car's 3.2 second 0-60mph time and 204mph top speed.

It seems likely too that the 650S will incorporate a number of styling changes from the P1, including a new front end.

We'll have to wait until the car makes its debut at Geneva on 4 March to find out more.
