The Volvo XC40 has been crowned New Car of the Year at the Motor Trader 2019 Awards.

The SUV was launched last year to critical acclaim, and this has translated into huge buyer appeal with 15,000 XC40s sold over the past 18 months.  The XC40 has been instrumental in a storming start to this year, during which the Swedish brand saw its UK sales grow by more than a quarter.

With an exterior and interior style which oozes contemporary Scandinavian cool, and the latest in technology and safety systems, the XC40 is a safe bet to continue this early success story.  Its Volvo Sensus system’s nine-inch touchscreen and advanced voice-activated control system allows easy control of the car’s entertainment and information technology, along with access to a range of online apps.  The XC40 also boasts a full five-star rating from independent safety testing organisation Euro NCAP.

The award-winning XC40 is available with a range of efficient Volvo-designed-and-built engines, manual or automatic transmissions, front or all-wheel drive, and is on sale priced from £28,695.
