Toyota has announced that its all-new Auris will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
The news means that the event, which runs from 3 to 15 March, will play host to the unveiling of two new Toyota models, with the Japanese carmaker having already confirmed that the new Avensis will also debut in Geneva. The twin launch follows on from last year’s Geneva Motor Show, where Toyota took the wraps of their latest Aygo and Yaris models.
The new Auris will be unveiled in both hatchback and Touring Sportswagon form (pictured), with the manufacturer promising a design which adds presence and prestige to the popular model, as well as an upgrade to the cabin and safety package. While the popular hybrid version accounted for around half of the Auris’ European sales last year, Toyota have moved to upgrade both the petrol and diesel engines on offer to increase performance and efficiency.
Like the new Avensis, the new Auris will be manufactured in the UK, with the two models built side by side at Toyota’s Burnaston plant in Derbyshire.
