The new Land Rover Discovery has only just gone on sale but has already become an award winner, having been crowned overall winner at the 2017 Tow Car Awards.
It follows in the footsteps of its illustrious predecessor, with the previous Discovery having collected nine Tow Car Awards in ten prior to being named Tow Car of the Decade last year.
The new Discovery also came top in the 1,900kg+ category on its way to the overall title.
It was a successful awards ceremony for Jaguar Land Rover, with the Jaguar F-Pace performance SUV putting in a flawless display to lift the 1,700-1,899kg title, while the Jaguar XF topped the 1,550-1,699kg class for the fifth time in six years.
Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover UK MD, said: “It’s great that the new Discovery has continued its predecessor’s legacy, a model which has proved itself as the car to beat in terms of towing capability since the Tow Car Awards started in 2007. In addition, the success for Jaguar at the awards is a testament to the versatility, performance and practicality of both the F-PACE and the XF and something we are very proud of.”
The new Land Rover Discovery is sale priced from £43,995 on-the-road, the Jaguar F-PACE from £34,730, and the Jaguar XF from £32,490.
