The latest round of Euro NCAP safety testing has sparked a double celebration at Honda after two of their new models passed with flying colours.
The all-new HR-V and Jazz models both achieved full 5-star marks after undergoing crash testing, with the latter becoming only the second supermini tested this year to do so.
Both models come as standard with Honda’s City-Brake Active system, which laser technology to scan the road ahead and automatically apply braking if a low speed collision is likely, while mid to top spec models in both ranges feature the Advanced Driver Assist System, a suite of active-safety technologies including Forward Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition System, Intelligent Speed Limiter, Lane Departure Warning and High-beam Support System.
The all-new Honda Jazz and new HR-V join the UK-built Civic and CR-V in being awarded full marks by Euro NCAP, who test various aspects of vehicle safety such as occupant protection, child protection, pedestrian protection and the availability and effectiveness of driver aids.
