The all-new CX-3 will take centre stage in Mazda’s extensive line-up of new models on display at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, the manufacturer has confirmed.
Mazda’s first small SUV, the CX-3 is the fifth new model launched by the Japanese car maker in the past six months, and its appearance in Geneva will be its European debut. The CX-3 will go on sale in early summer in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions.
Joining the CX-3 in Mazda’s new model army will be the fourth-generation MX-5, which was first revealed in September with a new exterior design and range of Mazda SKYACTIV engines. The new MX-5 will go on sale in the autumn.
The recently-introduced Mazda2 will also feature in Geneva, the Japanese manufacturer’s latest B-segment offering which has already lifted its domestic Car of the Year award 2014-15, as well as the Golden Steering Wheel award in Europe.
Completing Mazda’s quintet of new models on show in Geneva are the 2015 model year CX-5 and Mazda6, both sporting redesigned styling and interiors as well as new features including Adaptive LED Headlights among a range of active safety systems. The updated Mazda6 is now available with all-wheel-drive and a head-up display, while the CX-5 now has the option of the new SKYACTIV-G 2.5-litre petrol engine.
All five models will be available with Mazda’s MZD Connect smartphone connectivity system as well as the latest i-ACTIVSENSE active safety package.
