The first images of the new Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolets have been revealed ahead of the cars' planned debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November.
The news comes just a week after the hard-top versions of the Turbo and Turbo S were revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Fitted with the same 3.8-litre turbocharged flat-six as the tin-top Turbo models, the 911 Turbo Cabriolet develops 513bhp while the Turbo S Cabriolet churns out 552bhp. 0-62mph should take 3.5 seconds in the standard Turbo and 3.2 in the Turbo S.
Porsche also claims a 30 per cent improvement in fuel economy over the previous Turbo Cabriolet, with the new model returning 28.5mpg.
The cabriolets also share their body with the coupe, which is 28mm wider than the widest of the current 911 models, the Carrera 4. However, unlike the coupe, the 911 Turbo Cabriolet gets a tweaked fabric roof which uses a lightweight magnesium frame and which can be opened and shut in just 13.0 seconds at speeds of up to 37mph.
