McLaren has released new photos of its P1 hypercar at the Bahrain International Circuit, ahead of the car's official debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
The P1 is currently on a global tour, with the intention of attracting buyers to the McLaren brand. McLaren expects to build no more than 500 P1s, but the limited production run has yet to sell out.
The McLaren P1 made its Middle East debut in Bahrain in January. Bahrain is the Middle East base for McLaren and is home to the company's majority shareholder, Mumtalakat.
The P1 will utilise hybrid technology, with an electric motor mated to the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 used in the MP4-12C. The total power output is expected to be more than 700bhp.
Photos revealed earlier this week show that the car will feature a stripped-back, carbon-fibre interior and a digital dashboard display which includes red, green and blue gearshift indicators.
The P1 made its public debut at the launch of the firm's MP4-28 F1 car at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey.
McLaren will launch the car at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The P1 is slated as the successor to the legendary McLaren F1 of 1993.
