MG have unveiled an all-new compact SUV model at the London Motor Show.

Called the MG XS, the new model is expected to hit UK showrooms later this year, joining the MG3 and MG GS SUV in the manufacturer’s line up.

Full specification details will follow, but MG promise the new model will boast the latest in driver technology and infotainment systems.  The XS will be available at launch with two engine options and the choice of either automatic or manual transmission.

Matthew Cheyne, Head of Sales and Marketing at MG Motor UK said, “The MG XS will be a real game-changer in the compact SUV marketplace. The meaning behind the name is simple – S stands for SUV, X means extra.”

Customers will be able to pre-book test drives and pre-order brochures from MG retailers in advance of the XS’ launch.
