Lexus has unveiled its new facelifted CT 200h at the Guangzhou Motor Show today ahead of the car's March 2014 UK launch.
The new CT 200h features a raft of changes including styling tweaks, greater refinement, more equipment and higher levels of quality both inside and out.
On the outside the most notable visual changes are the inclusion of the firm's new 'spindle' grille design, along with tweaked front and rear bumpers, new 10-spoke 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels and a new shark's fin roof antenna, which doesn't need to be removed when you take the car through a car wash.
Inside, the CT 200h has been given the steering wheel from the new IS and the instrument binnacle is available with a 4.2-inch TFT screen which can be linked to the multimedia system and controlled through the steering wheel.
The greatest changes, however, are to comfort. The car's body rigidity has been increased thanks to additional spot welds, and the suspension and shock absorbers have been tweaked to improve ride comfort without sacrificing handling agility.
The CT 200h is cleaner than before too, with Lexus managing to cut emissions by 5g/km down to just 82g/k, for entry-level models with 15-inch wheels. For models with 16-inch wheels the figure stands at 88g/km -- a 6g/km improvement.
Lexus will reveal the UK pricing and specification details for the new CT 200h in January, ahead of its March launch.
