Kia have been named Car-Maker of the Year at the 2019 Motor Trader Industry Awards.

The accolade comes soon after Kia released UK sales figures showing a record first-half to the year, with 53,232 new cars sold in the first six months of 2019.  At that rate, the Korean brand is on target to better the 95,000 units sold last year.

Motor Trader editor, John Kirwan, said: “Kia was the unanimous winner of the Carmaker of the Year Award in 2019 because of the strength of its model line-up, its close relationship with its dealer network, strong new car sales performance in 2018 and profitability of the franchise.”
