The much-celebrated Jaguar XE has collected another award after the new model was crowned ‘Most Beautiful Car of 2014’ at the Festival Automobile International in Paris.

Jaguar design chief Ian Callum collected the award, which was decided by public vote.  With over 100,000 votes cast across 59 nations, the new XE came out on top despite fierce competition from the Mazda MX-5, Mercedes C-Class Estate, and Fiat 500X, taking victory with 28 per cent of the vote.

Jaguar unveiled the XE at the Paris Motor Show last October and since then it has already wowed the continental crowds, being named Best Production Car by both Auto Plus magazine and the listeners of French radio station RTL.

UK order books are now open, with the Jaguar XE range priced from £26,995 on the road.
