The Hyundai i30 Tourer has scooped a prize for best fuel economy at the prestigious Tow Car Awards.
The i30 Tourer came top in the Best Fuel Economy category at the 12th annual Tow Car Awards, recording 24mpg during the towing tests.
The awards - founded by Practical Caravan, What Car? and The Camping and Caravanning Club – are determined by a series of gruelling tests, and the Hyundai i30 Tourer with its 1500kg towing capacity wowed the judges for being the most economical car of those tested. Over 500 cars have tested since the awards began in 2007, with the regime including an emergency lane-change, 30-60mph acceleration, a 30-0mph emergency stop, and a hill start on a 1-in-6 slope.
A delighted Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor UK, said, “The Tourer is a great choice for lightweight towing and proves itself as an extremely practical family car - especially for those long journeys. It also comes with the added peace of mind of Hyundai’s industry-leading five year unlimited mileage warranty,”
The Hyundai i30 Tourer is priced from £17,500, available to order at Hyundai retailers.
