The all-new right-hand drive Ford Mustang has picked up the Coupe of the Year title at the UK Car of the Year Awards.

It is the third year in succession that the manufacturer has tasted success at the UK Car of the Year Awards, judged by a panel of 27 leading British motoring journalists.

The Ford Mustang, which is on sale priced from £30,495, impressed the judges with its outstanding performance and value for money.

Adding to Ford’s joy was the announcement that he S-MAX had scooped the Multi-Purpose Vehicle of the Year Award after the seven-seater won plaudits from the panel for its space, convenience, and drivability.

The Ford Fiesta ST and Ford Mondeo have both featuring amongst the honours list at the UK Car of the Year Awards since it commenced in 2014.

Commenting on the wins, Ford of Britain chairman and managing director Andy Barratt, said: “We are bringing a desired taste of the US to the UK with Ford Mustang and S-MAX blends cutting-edge design with seven-seat accommodation.  We’re proud that the judges have recognised the strengths of both cars in this year’s UK Car of the Year Awards.”
