Hyundai have released a teaser sketch of its new Tucson compact SUV, which will be formally unveiled at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
The sketch was released as part of a video promoting the new model on YouTube, and shows a bold design fronted by Hyundai’s distinctive chrome-framed hexagonal grille connecting the headlight clusters, but with a powerful new upright stance and sleek character line behind.
With the sporty new Tucson SUV Hyundai hope to continue their previous success in the sector, in which they have recorded over a million sales across Europe since the introduction of the first Santa Fe in the early 2000s.
“Our new compact SUV will be a big step forward for the Hyundai brand globally,” said Hyundai Motor Group President and Chief Design Officer Peter Schreyer.
“The All-New Tucson has a bold and athletic presence and a proud stance. Its design is characterised by flowing surfaces, bold proportions, sharp lines and – most important – our brand signature hexagonal grille.”
