An exclusive version of the new Jaguar F-PACE has gone on sale, with just ten per cent of the 2,000 models to be produced made available to UK buyers.
Known as the Jaguar F-PACE First Edition, the model is intended to pay homage to the CX-17 concept which begat the F-PACE and comes with a super-fast In Control Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10-inch tablet style touch screen and a suite of specially developed apps and a wifi hotspot that allows up to eight devices to connect at once. Unique design details include 22-inch Double Helix Alloy Wheels, Houndstooth embossed Windsor Leather Sports seats, special carpet mats and a Gloss Black Houndstooth-patterned trim finisher.
The First Edition will come finished in the same Caesium Blue found on the original CX-17 concept model, and is further distinguished by red brake calipers, full-LED headlights with LED ‘J’ blade Daytime Running Lights, panoramic roof, illuminated metal tread plates and configurable interior mood lighting. Under the bonnet is a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing over 295bhp, with eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.
Available to order now priced at £65,275, deliveries of the 200 examples of the Jaguar F-PACE First Edition on sale to UK buyers are expected to commence in Spring/Summer next year.
Revealing the F-PACE First Edition at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Jaguar’s Chief Marketing Officer Gerd Mauser said, “Two years ago Jaguar revealed the C-X17, right here in Frankfurt. Since that time we have been inundated with people asking us to make it and it was this growing interest that inspired us to create the F-PACE First Edition - a Special Edition to celebrate the C-X17 concept. With only 2,000 units available globally, we expect the Jaguar F-PACE First Edition to sell out – we are receiving an incredible amount of interest from customers who want to be the first and who want the best.”
