It’s a double celebration for Jaguar after their F-PACE landed two top titles at the World Car of the Year Awards this week.
The performance SUV was crowned overall World Car of the Year, and also picked up the World Car Design of the Year having impressed the panel of 75 motoring journalist from across the globe. The Solihull-built F-PACE beat off stiff competition from the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet and Toyota C-HR. The model already has a somewhat bulging trophy cabinet having collected over 40 awards since its launch twelve months ago, including Women’s World Car of the Year, Auto Express Car of the Year, and Telegraph Cars’ Best Premium SUV.
“The F-PACE is our first ever SUV but it is clearly recognisable as a Jaguar and for it to win the 2017 World Car of the Year trophy vindicates our decision to bring our unique design principles and dynamic qualities to a new sector of the market”, said Jaguar’s Director of Design Ian Callum.
Priced from £34,730, the Jaguar F-PACE range has a versatile range of power options, from the 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel which produces just 126g/km of CO2 to the supercharged V6 petrol which launches the car from 0-62mph in just five-and-a-half seconds.
