With the new DS 3 having only been unveiled in Paris a few days ago, the DS 3 model it replaces is going out on a winning note having been crowned Diesel Car magazine’s Used Car of the Year.

Diesel Car magazine’s Editor and Publisher, Ian Robertson, commented; "Its stylish looks and entertaining handling make it a thoroughly desirable little hatchback. It’s our best used car of 2016.

Launched in 2010, the DS 3 has been a resounding success and an important part of the move to spin off DS Automobiles as a standalone brand last year.

Examples of every diesel car on UK sale were carefully examined by the Diesel Car judging panel, with eight sub-categories. The judges assessed each car for all-round ability, value for money, fitness for purpose, as well as affordability, with the DS 3 topping the small car category as well as collecting the award for overall best used car buy for 2016.
