The first image of the new C7.R, a racing version of the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, has appeared online.
There's no word yet on whether the picture is official; however, real or not, it does give us an idea of what the C7.R will look like in the distinctive black and yellow livery of the Corvette Racing Tram.
As you can see from the image, the C7.R gets a new front splitter, a ventilated bonnet and a large rear wing. It's also expected to get an upgrade version of the 5.5-litre V8 engine found in its predecessor, the C6.R, which will be built by Pratt & Miller. The 'Flexfuel' badging underneath the headlamps also suggests that the car will run on petrol, ethanol or a combination of the two.
The C7.R is set to make its official track debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January, before competing in the Tudor United Sportscar Championship and, possibly, the Le Mans 24 Hours.
