The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, Chevrolet has confirmed.

Chevy has yet to reveal any information on the new seventh-gen Corvette convertible; however, these leaked images do appear to show how the car might look.

Designed from the outset as a soft-top, it seems highly likely that the Corvette convertible will be mechanically identical to its hard-top brother. If this is the case, it'll get a 6.2-litre V8 with 450bhp and 450lb-ft of torque and a choice of seven-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearboxes.

The new Corvette Stingray convertible will go on sale in the US next year, but it seems unlikely that it will be offered for sale in Blighty.

The Geneva Motor Show opens its doors on 5 March.
