Ford is to unveil an exclusive new Ranger pick up at this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Ford Ranger Black Edition will be based on the current, and will have a de-chromed body in Absolute Black paint finish. The radiator grille, alloy wheels, sports bar and exterior detailing will also have a black finish. Just 2,500 examples will be produced, in Double Cab bodystyle only.
Equipment includes satellite navigation, front parking sensors and rear view camera, adding to existing Limited specification features such as Ford SYNC 3 multimedia system with 8-inch touchscreen, dual-zone electronic climate control, leather seat trim, and power-folding, heated door mirrors.
Ford hope the new model will capitalise on the Ranger’s current popularity. Over 23,000 Ranger’s have were sold in Europe in the first seven months of this year, an increase of more than 12% on the same period in 2016.
