Renault’s latest Clip supermini has earned full marks in Euro NCAP safety testing.

The all-new Renault Clio, which foes on UK sale this autumn, achieved five starts out of five in the ever-more stringent crash test programme all new cars offered for sale in Europe must undergo.

Renault have long excelled in Euro NCAP testing, with the new Clio the 22nd Renault product to have emerged with full marks for safety.

The all-new Clio continued that high-level of performance thanks to new and advanced safety features such as revised seat structures, seat-belt fasteners designed to provide optimal support for all occupants, seat-belt pyrotechnic pre-tensions and load limiters, isofix child seats comptablility both front and rear, enhanced head protection for the rear passengers in case of side impact, six airbags, ABS with emergency brake assistance, a camera and radar for lane assist, traffic sign recognition with speed limit alert, distance warning, emergency braking, cruise control with speed limiter, seat belt unlock alert for the front and rear seats, and emergency call.

The all-new Clio will also feature advanced driving aids, with the Highway and Traffic Jam Companion, as a step towards autonomous driving.
