Volvo has released a series of teaser images of its new Concept XC Coupe, which will make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January.

The Concept XC Coupe is the second of three planned design studies which have been commissioned to offer a glimpse at the styling direction Volvo will take with its future XC models. The first study, the Volvo Concept Coupe, was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

The model, which was designed under Volvo's new design boss Thomas Ingenlath, also previews Volvo's new Scalable Product Architecture, a new platform which will underpin all of Volvo's medium and large cars in the future.

More information on the Concept XC Coupe will be released ahead of the car's debut in Detroit on 13 January.
