British car drivers interested in learning more about the 'greener' possibilities offered on the UK motoring market might be glad to discover all that the EV & Low CO2 motor show has to offer.
Organisers from the EV show stated that UK visitors will have "plenty of reasons" to attend the event at Silverstone next April 18th.
The world's first hybrid diesel powertrain will be one of the main stars of the show. The Citroën model will take to the Silverstone Circuit in front of visitors, so they can witness its power with fuel consumption of 74.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km.
"DS5 Hybrid4 really does offer the best of all worlds. It's stylish, exciting to drive, tax-efficient and environmentally friendly - a car that we believe will establish itself as a real landmark in fleet. We have chosen to give DS5 Hybrid4 its fleet debut at the EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show because the audience, the venue and the timing are all just right for us," said Citroën UK's Fleet Director, Andy Wady.
However, this is not the only vehicle that UK car fans will be able to see in the show, as a host of new models will also be showcased at the event. A panel of industry experts will be on hand to provide visitors all the information they need to know about the EV sector.
Event organiser and Fleet World managing editor, Ross Durkin, explained that visitors can split their time at the show between getting first-hand experience of the latest low-emission models, consulting the experts on all aspects of EV fleet operation, "and bringing themselves up to date with the latest strategic thinking from the major motor manufacturers," he said.
A one-stop shop for EV fans
Additionally, organisers from the EV show said that it will allow visitors to test drive the latest petrol-electric hybrids, diesel-electric hybrids, fuel-cell hybrids and electric range-extenders, as well as the latest low-emission petrol and diesel engine vehicles.
Enthusiasts of EV and low CO2 cars will be also able to discuss future drivetrain strategies with leading motor manufacturers, find out more about low-emission light commercial vehicles, talk to charging point suppliers and recharging infrastructure providers as well as discussing low-carbon vehicle supply with leading leasing suppliers.
