Alfa Romeo is gearing up for Frankfurt Motor Show where it plans to unveil the 4C Concept car in a new ‘fluid metal’ exterior colour that Alfa claims ‘enhances the smooth and sinuous lines of the car’.

Alfa has been refining the concept over the past months and now claim that the 4C will weigh in at 850kg, deliver more than 200bhp and boast a power-to-weight ratio of less than 4kg per horsepower. The concept – like the 8C Competizione - is hewn from an exotic mix of materials including carbon-fibre and aluminium.

Alfa will also be showcasing a Giulietta with the new TCT twin-clutch gearbox and two new engines for their MiTo –a 0.9-litre TwinAir engine producing 85bhp and a new 1.3-litre diesel, also producing 85bhp.
