The North American International Auto Show played host to the unveiling of Infiniti’s latest 2 door sports coupe concept.
The Q60 is a precursor to a premium sports coupe which the company intends to begin manufacturing in 2016 and follows in the Infiniti tradition of designing exciting concepts. Infiniti’s aim has been to build a car with not only impressive performance but also a stunning exterior signature which they describe as ‘sweeping and angular ... underlining its power and performance intentions’.
“One look and it is clear: Q60 Concept is a strong statement from Infiniti designers that the exhilaration is real,” said Roland Krueger of Infiniti. “Design is a key driver for developing a strong brand. Q60 Concept is another building block in Infiniti’s quest to refresh its portfolio with a strong and consistent design language. And in 2016, we will launch a new model heavily inspired by the Q60 Concept.”
The Q60 Concept boasts of huge power from the next-generation 3.0-litre V6 engine with direct injection and twin-turbocharging; the interior is just as striking with a hand crafted leather wrapped instrument panel and steering wheel alongside hand stitched premium leather seating.
