Skoda will debut its first vRS SUV at October’s Paris Motor Show, in the form of the 236bhp 2.0-TDI BiTurbo-powered all-wheel drive Kodiaq vRS.
The Czech brand has released heavily silhouetted images of the new model to tease customers with what to expect when the covers are taken off the seven-seat Kodiaq SUV in Paris.
Under the bonnet of the Kodiaq SUV is the most powerful production diesel engine in Skoda’s long history, befitted a model with the sporty vRS designation. The vRS badge has been used by Skoda for its sports production models since 1974. The ‘v’ is in reference to Skoda’s successful motorsport heritage that saw two Monte Carlo Rally class victories and an overall win in the 1977 Acropolis Rally, while the ‘RS’ stands for Rally Sport. The brand new vRS logo with red flourishes will make its first appearance at the Paris Motor Show, with several adorning the Kodiaq vRS.
