The new SEAT Alhambra has been awarded ‘Best People Carrier’ in the 2012 Fleet News Awards ceremony at London.
Judges from the 2012 Fleet News Awards ceremony highlighted that the Alhambra is a full sized people carrier that offers a good-sized boot - even with all seven seats in use.
"The seats are easy to fold flat, adding to the car's versatility, while good road performance, competitive costs and low CO2 emissions combine to make the perfect package," they pointed out, commenting on the car's advantages.
The panel of judges included a number of key members of the Fleet News editorial team, plus experts in the fleet industry. The judging panel highlighted that the the practicality, versatility and affordable costs of the SEAT Alhambra were the central characteristics that made them choose this model as winner of the 'Best People Carrier' title.
A multi award-winning car
This last accolade represents the ninth prize that the Alhambra has won in recent months. Commenting on this, SEAT UK Managing Director, Peter Wyhinny, acknowledged that "the Alhambra is a very impressive MPV and the near-constant stream of important awards such as this reinforces that belief."
In reference to this latest accolade, Wyhinny admitted that "to receive this trophy from Fleet News means a great deal to us at SEAT."
Since the vehicle went on sale in 2010, the Alhambra has been widely acclaimed by motoring experts across the country.
With a starting price of £23,525 RRP, the vehicle is available in S, SE or top spec SE Lux trim. There is a choice of petrol and or diesel engines.
"I know the quality, value and versatility of our seven-seater is as compelling for business drivers as it is for private buyers which is why it is, increasingly, making a name for itself among savvy fleet customers all over the UK," concluded Wyhinny.
