Renault is set to reveal a new concept car at the Monaco Grand Prix, which will preview the next-generation Twingo.

The new concept follows on from the Twin'Z concept which was revealed earlier this month, and is the latest car in Renault Design's 'life-cycle' design strategy.

Following its Monaco debut, the concept will be shown off at a number of events, including the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will be showcased alongside the bonkers new Renault Twizy F1.

The car's debut comes a year after the Renault Alpine A110-50 concept was unveiled at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Designed by Renault design chief Laurens van den Acker, the new concept is based around the single word theme of 'Play' and was developed as "an expression of the brand's passion and an illustration of how different takes on the same city car are possible."

The concept will be revealed in Monaco on 24 May.
