Fiat are set to launch their new Punto Van at the Commercial Vehicle Show at Birmingham’s NEC at the end of April.

The new vehicle will offer up to 1.0 m3 of load capacity and a payload of 520kg. The standard equipment of the vehicle features remote central locking, electric front windows, electrically adjustable and heated body coloured mirrors, ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), BAS (Brake Assistance System) and trip computer.

Further standard features include items made to provide safety and comfort to drivers and passengers. These include driver and passenger airbags, radio/CD/MP3 player, electric power steering, height and reach-adjustable steering wheel and a height-adjustable driver's seat.

UK Pricing and extras

The 1.3 MultiJet II 75hp model is on sale in the UK from a starting price of £10,990.00 (exc. VAT and OTR).

Buyers who are in a position to pay more could purchase the 1.3 MultiJet II 85hp model for £500 more. This version emits 90 g/km of CO2 and returns a combined 80.7mpg.

For a further £500, buyers could purchase the SX trim level with the 1.3 MultiJet II 95hp engine. This model also includes manual air conditioning and a driver's knee airbag.

Fiat claim that the New Punto Van 2012 will provide "great value for those customers searching for an affordable price but with all the safety and comfort features included."

Consumers interested in purchasing this model will be able to order it from the end of April. The van will be available in a range of white, dark blue and red pastel colours.
