The Japanese firm has made a declaration of its intent at the Geneva Motor Show with a glimpse of a stunning concept car.

The 85th International Geneva Motor Show is running with the slogan ‘A future-oriented attitude: powerful, fast and dynamic’; Mitsubishi have bought into the theme and have impressed visitors so far at this year’s event. Their presence in Switzerland has culminated in the release of teaser photos of a next generation 2WD plug-in hybrid electric car.

Mitsubishi says the concept is ‘a smart combination of engineering, fluency with a high-output electric motor, low environmental impact, dynamic agility and athletic design’ and appears to cram the latest technology into the company’s favoured format of the SUV crossover.

It is likely that this latest concept could be the model to replace the Lancer Evolution which will be going out of production very soon.
