Mercedes has posted two teaser sketches of its forthcoming GLA SUV on its Facebook page ahead of the car's planned unveiling at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.
The sketches provide our first indication of what the production version of the new GLA will look like, following on from the debut of the GLA concept at the Shanghai Motor Show earlier this year.
As you can see, the production car looks broadly similar to the car we saw in Shanghai; however, we'd expect the final version to be slightly more conservatively styled when it goes on sale next year.
The GLA is based on the Modular Front-drive Architecture (MFA) which is shared with the A-Class, B-Class and CLA. The engine range is likely to be carried straight over from the A-Class.
Although pricing and specification details have yet to be released, expect the GLA to cost from around £25,000, putting it in direct competition with the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3.
