UK-based supercar manufacturer McLaren Automotive will use the Brussels Motor Show, which opens this week, to showcase is Sports Series and Super Series.

This will mean the McLaren 570S Coupe and 675LT Coupe will be displayed together for the first time at a European motor show.

The most powerful model in the McLaren Sports Series, the 570S Coupe is a race-derived mid-engine sports car powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8. Generating 562bhp, that power plant propels the car from 0-62mph in an eye watering 3.2 seconds and to a top speed of 204mph.

Meanwhile, the track-focused-yet-road-legal 675LT Coupe represents the pinnacle of McLaren’s Super Series.

Able to call on a devilish 666bhp from its 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, the 675LT produces a ferocious 516ft-lb of torque and its power-to-weight ratio is maximised by the increased use of lightweight carbon fibre in its construction. The McLaren 675LT Coupe has generated intense interest since its debut last year, with order books for the limited production run model are already full.

Jon Pollock, Regional Director for Europe, McLaren Automotive said: “2015 proved to be a defining year for McLaren, with no less than five new models launched including the 675LT Coupé and 570S Coupé, and 2016 is already shaping up as another busy year. Already, we have a six month order bank for the Sports Series as first cars are now starting to be delivered throughout the region, and both the Coupé and Spider derivatives of the 675LT have sold out”.

The Brussels Motor Show runs from 12-24 January.
