If you've been saving up for a new McLaren P1, we've got some unfortunate news for you.

They've all been sold. All 375 of them. Gone.

McLaren P1 vs. LaFerrari vs. Porsche 918 Spyder

So, if you're to stand any chance whatsoever of becoming the proud owner of what could potentially be the best car ever made, you're going to have trawl through the second-hand market looking for a billionaire playboy who, after a few days of P1 ownership, has got bored with his purchase and put it up for sale.

However, be warned -- because just 375 examples of the P1 have been made, used prices are likely to be significantly higher than the £866,000 McLaren would have wrung from your pockets to buy one new.

"Okay," you're thinking, "it's not the end of the world. I can always buy a LaFerrari instead." Well, no actually. Ferrari sold all 499 examples of its 950bhp monster before it was even unveiled. The only chance you have of buying one of the latest breed of hypercars is to take your hard-earned over to Porsche, who will still happily sell you a 918 Spyder.
