Lexus has announced it will reveal the latest addition to its high-performance ‘F’ range at this month’s North American Auto Show in Detroit.
The Japanese premium brand will use the event, which begins on 13 January, to premiere the Lexus GS F high-performance saloon. The GS F follows hot-on-the-heels of the recently introduced RC F coupe, and will be based on the same platform as the current Lexus GS four-door saloon.
However, the similarities end there, as under the bonnet of the new GS F will be a 467bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The model will also boast the Torque Vectoring Differential introduced in the RC F coupe, which enhances the handling characteristics in three different modes, and this is further aided by a structurally-reinforced monocoque chassis and exclusive suspension package.
