Lexus has wowed the crowds at this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas with a reinterpretation of its venerable IS saloon designed with the help of deviantART, an online social community for artists.
Lexus teamed up with deviantART to stage a competition for designers to submit their own reimagining of the IS. The competition was won by Robert Evans, whose eye-catching design was chosen ahead of more than 600 other entries.
As a reward, Evans has been given a one-year lease of a standard IS, $2,000 in cash and a trip to visit the SEMA show. Best of all, however, is that he can see his creation come to life as his winning design has been turned into an actual car by VIP Auto Sport, who spent more than 10 weeks turning Evans' dream into a reality.
The deviantART Lexus gets an aggressive bodykit, customer air suspension, Nutek alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, a custom paint job and a carbon-fibre interior.
SEMA runs until Friday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
