A new special edition version of the Land Rover Discovery has been revealed ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. The new Discovery XXV celebrates the 25th anniversary of the launch of the original model.
Based on the existing HSE Luxury specification, the Discovery XXV comes as standard in Causeway Grey with Narvik Black grille surrounds and mirror caps. Silver roof rails, body-coloured door handles and a stainless steel bumper accessory tread plates are also included as standard.
Also included is XXV badging on the front door and tailgate and new 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels in a light polished-silver finish.
Inside, the instrument panel binnacle and door top trolls are finished in leather and twist pile carpet mats and a leather-wrapped wooden steering wheel are fitted as standard. The interior is also finished in a unique Cirrus interior colour.
First launched back in 1989, the Discovery was Land Rover's third model and was designed to plug the gap between the utilitarian 90 and 100 models (later rebadged as the Defender) and the more luxurious Range Rover.
The Land Rover Discovery XXV is expected to go on sale later this year; however, it's unclear how much of a price premium it will carry over the standard £59,450 HSE Luxury model.
