Leaked images on the internet are believed to show the new look of Jaguar’s XF.

The photo shows a facelifted front end reminiscent of the larger XJ model.  Out go the wraparound headlights that were an unexpected feature of the current model when it was released in 2007, and in their place come narrow units as seen on the C-XF concept.

The new XF will come with a new engine too, a 188bhp 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel, which Jaguar claims will return a combined 52.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 149g/km.

The new model is set to make its planned debut at the New York Motor Show next month.
