The two door concept is inspired by Formula 1 and demonstrates Infiniti’s intentions for future sports coupes.
Hong Kong played host for the unveiling of the Q60 in preparation for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Infiniti claim they have produced a vehicle which makes no compromise between stunning exterior looks and incredible performance.
Enthusiasts with a keen eye will note that the Q60 bears some similarities to the Q80 concept which was revealed in October 2014. An exceptionally low roofline and the quilted leather seats are just two such points reminiscent of the Q80.
"The Q80 Inspiration was an indication of Infiniti's future design language," said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director. "The Q60 Concept is the next step in the journey.
"The sweeping lines of the Q80 Inspiration gave the Q60 Concept its coupe silhouette and looks while the Formula One-inspired touches from the Q50 Eau Rouge endowed the coupe with its sports personality."
21 inch wheels inhabit the whole of the wheel arch and take design inspiration from jet turbine blades; the attention to detail continues internally where hand-stitched leather meets carbon fibre accents. Those waiting to see this Infiniti concept in the flesh need only wait till 13th January when it will be revealed at Infiniti’s press conference.
