Barbecue season is upon us and although the good weather we enjoyed throughout July seems to have deserted us of late, people the length and breadth of the land are heading outside for a spot of al fresco food poisoning.
The thing is though, barbecues take ages to prepare. You've got to chisel the rust off the bloody thing for a start, then you've got to get the coals hot (which, if you're as cack-handed as I am, takes about 100,000 years) and then you've got to wait about five hours for the burgers and sausages to achieve that genuine cremated-on-the-outside-frozen-on-the-inside barbecue taste.
Luckily, however, the chaps at the YouTube channel TheSUPERCARDRIVER have found a novel -- and far more exciting -- way of giving yourself botulism, and it involves a 700bhp 217mph Lamborghini Aventador.
By exploiting the Aventador's party piece of spewing blue flames from its exhaust for the purposes of gastronomy, it turns out that it's possible to incinerate a cylinder of rendered pork carcass in no time at all. All you need is a big stick, a friend to boot the accelerator and, erm, a £265,000 supercar.
Okay, so it's not the most cost-effective way of cooking meat ever devised; however, you'd have to agree, it's certainly one of the best.
