Lamborghini is set to launch a new, more powerful version of its Aventador at the Shanghai Motor Show to celebrate its 50th birthday.
The Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition is shown here for the first time in a series of leaked images and although details are scarce, Lamborghini is expected to reveal more information about the car when it goes on display in Shanghai.
Under the bonnet, the LP720-4 is fitted with the same 6.5-litre V12 used in the standard Aventador; however, Lamborghini has upped the engine's power output by 19bhp to 710bhp (or 720PS, hence the car's name). This increase in power is unlikely to improve the standard Aventador's 2.9 second 0-62mph time and 218mph top speed significantly.
It's not a car you're likely to lose in the multi-storey car park either. Lamborghini has painted the car in a retina-searing shade of yellow named 'Giallo Maggio' and has fitted a huge bodykit, consisting of a deep front spoiler, a bigger rear diffuser and deeper side skirts, all finished in black.
The car also gets a smattering of '50' badges, signifying the car's limited-edition status, and black alloy wheels.
The LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition is likely to cost significantly more than a standard Aventador and will be limited to just 100 examples.
