Euro NCAP has released its latest batch of crash test results, with 11 cars being subjected to the stringent crash tests.

Of the 11 cars tested, 6 received the full five star rating. Those that achieved the top score include the Ford Tourneo Connect MPV, the Infiniti Q50, the Maserati Ghibli, the Mazda 3, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and the Peugeot 308.

However, five of the cars tested failed to score the full five stars, earning four instead. These include the new BMW i3, the Ford EcoSport, the Nissan Note and the Volkswagen T5 van. The Mercedes-Benz CITAN Kombi also achieved four stars in its retest, having scored just three when it was tested earlier this year.
